Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program

 
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is designed to support Alberta's economic growth by attracting work-ready immigrants to the province. Individuals nominated by the Government of Alberta, along with their spouse or partner and dependent children, can apply for permanent residence as a provincial nominee. The AINP offers options for both skilled and semi-skilled workers.
 

Without a job offer

1. Compulsory and Optional Trades Category: For temporary foreign workers in Alberta with a valid trade certificate issued or recognized by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
 
2. Engineering Occupations Category: For temporary foreign workers with Alberta work experience in an eligible engineering occupation.
 
3. Post-Graduate Worker Category: For those currently working in Alberta with a post-graduation work permit, who have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Alberta.
 

With a job offer

1. Skilled Worker: For those with offers of permanent, full-time work by an Alberta employer in an eligible skilled occupation.
 
2. International Graduates: For recent graduates from recognized post-secondary institutions in Canada, who have a post-graduation work permit, and and offer of permanent and full-time work from an Alberta employer in an eligible occupation.
 
3. Semi-Skilled Workers: For temporary foreign workers with a permanent and full-time job offer from an Alberta employer in an eligible semi-skilled occupation. Only select key industries and occupations are eligible in this category, and all candidates must meet minimum language standards.
 

Self-Employed Farmer Stream

Last but not least, you may qualify if you have the financial resources and farm management experience to purchase and establish a farm in Alberta.
