Express Entry - Emigrate To Canada
Express Entry is not an immigration program in itself. Rather "Express Entry" is the name given to an application processing system used by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). The Express Entry process is used to select candidates for immigration into Canada, and replaced a first-filed, first-answered queueing system.
Under federal economic immigration programs, eligible candidates are permitted to enter the Express Entry Pool. Therefore, the first step is to determine a client's eligibility for one of these programs.
Our free assessment form helps you to determine whether or not you are eligible to enter the Express Entry pool. Our team reviews your form and quickly lets you know whether or not you may be eligible.
Improve your profile and ranking
Ranking within the Express Entry Pool takes place according to the Comprehensive Ranking System, which ranks candidates using the following components:
- Core human capital factors;
- Accompanying spouse or common-law partner factors, if applicable;
- Skill transferability factors; and
- Provincial nomination factors;
- Applicable and qualifying offers of employment.
The Canadian immigration selects candidates from the Express Entry pool according to their ranking by the Comprehensive Ranking System. Despite ranking on a scale of 1,200 available points, distinctions between candidates can come down to a difference of one or two points. That is why it is imperative that candidates do everything possible to maximise their points ranking, and thereby maximise their chances of receiving an invitation to apply for a permanent residency visa.
Receive an Invitation to Apply & Submit your Application
Provincial Governments, the Canadian Federal Government, and private employers are all able to select new immigrants from the Express Entry pool. The highest-ranking candidates -- the candidates considered to have the best chances for economic success in Canada -- along with candidates with either valid job offers or a provincial nomination, will then be invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
After 12 months, candidates who are still in the Express Entry pool, and who have not received an invitation to apply for a visa, may resubmit their profile and re-enter the pool. Upon re-entry, they must be able to show that they still meet the criteria of at least one of the economic immigration programs.
